I have been occasionally reviewing the public feedback on the death of the musical icon Michael Jackson, and I have found a sprinkle here and there of some rather callous comments. To those detractors:
The most brutish comments come from those who have lost the very thing that Michael Jackson had hoped we would all either gain or maintain. A better outlook on life and love for humanity. Have some compassion for the communities that benefited from his persona and music and learn to appreciate the fact that the world of mostly original people saw what a blind insensitive, if not hateful, heart can't see in Michael Jackson. By the way, Elvis never touched the people all over the world, just ask any Middle Eastern or Indian native.
What these people don't realize (or maybe they do) is that they are not only attacking Mr. Jackson, they are assaulting the community and the culture that produced him. Which is the Black community and the Black 'American' culture. There is a question in the Bible that reads "Can any good come out of Nazareth?" Mr. Jackson, came out of Gary, Indiana; if you know what that means then you know the answer to the Biblical question. It is out of that context that many Black people have such deep emotions regarding Bro. Micheal.
Again to those detractors, it is you that will not hesitate to spit in the face of the accomplishments of those who have been trodden underfoot. To you I say be careful because whether you believe it, or know it, there is a just God waiting to act on the downtrodden's behalf.
