What A Mother's Love Can Do

During the heavy media coverage of the passing of our brother Michael (Mikaeel) Jackson, it was said the Katherine Jackson was very protective of him, and he loved it.
That love that she showered on him, as was pointed out by Queen Latifah as she read a poem by Maya Angelou, helped to nurture him into the cultural, musical, and humanitarian icon that he became.
To the best of her ability she was very protective of him and tried to ensure that he was not taken advantage of early on. That protective, cautious nature gave him and essential part of what he needed to be the kind of man that the world loves.
Regardless of what 'nay-sayers' have to offer about Mikaeel, in the 'sanctuary' of his mother's love he thrived. We should all be so lucky to either be the recipient of that kind love or the giver of that kind of nurturing, dependable love.

Thank you Katherine Jackson.
