Believing what you see

There is an old saying that goes, "Believe some of what you hear and none of what you see." Just a year ago, Nov. 4, 2008, everything looked so promising in the U.S.
Seemingly, progress was being made and everyone was so hopeful that our problems (Black people's problems) could be solved amicably. Not.
All heck is breaking loose in the U.S. Families are at war with one another, taxes are increasing, everything you need is getting harder to get--need food? More expensive, need clothes?--Worse quality, Buy a house--HA!
Where does this leave a family? Where does this leave children? We already place our children in a condition where they are fearful of tomorrow, how can they be secure in a world like this?
Minister Farrakhan knows how, The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad knows how.
It starts with our discipline. No food? One meal a day or one meal every other day will get you through. No clothes? If you can find some fabric you can have some clothes. Need shelter? Learn to live with one another in peace by respecting one another and stop the self-hatred that exists.
Without faith, survival of what is to come isn't possible. The very definition of faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen (Hebrew 11:1). If it is unseen then you don't have to worry about what you see, have faith that the hereafter is near if we can survive.
