What will we not do to care for our children? How many obstacles are we willing to get over? How many mountains are we willing to move to protect and provide for our children?
And yet, we still are not having the kind of success that we think we should have after having sacrificed, what we think, is so much. In the past Minister Farrakhan has posed the question, What are we willing to do to get to (into) heaven? Most would respond by saying whatever is asked of us we would be willing to do to see the hereafter. Are we willing to go to extremes for our children like that? Are we willing to sacrifice what we consider to be near and dear to us to ensure that our children live in a better reality than the one that we have endured? I sincerely hope so.
With that said, what can we do differently in each of our personal lives to make the lives of our children better? Can we be less abrasive when we speak with them? Can we spend a little more time with them? Or even can we be more firm with them when necessary in order to make their lives better?
The lives that we have carved out in this world is as a result of our own actions. In this stage of our children's lives, they have not done the carving at all, they must accept whatever circumstances they have been given. It is what we are willing to do for their benefit that determines what they will give to the world.
