JUDGING THE VALUE OF ONE ANOTHER
Matt. 7:1 and 2 "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
We need to stop it. Our children are suffering every day because we are caught up in the most superficial of things. The mother that stays at home and decides to make her sacrifice looks down on the mother that has to go out to work to put food on the table, and vice versa, the mother that goes out and works sees the mother at home as not doing enough to contribute to society. Both are coming to conclusions from their limited vantage points.
Only Allah (God) knows the extent to which each of us is struggling to do and be better. Yes, a Mother's children may have clothes that are tattered but if she is truly doing the best that she can who are we to judge.
On the other hand there are some people who fall back on that principle to cover their lackadaisical way of caring for their children, we are not exempting anyone who is not trying their best to raise children they brought into this world. But there more mothers than we know just aren't sure what to do by their children.
The principle of judging goes far beyond one mother looking into another mother's window. It goes into homes, work, relationships ... the list could go on and on.
Under the particular scenario of child rearing, we have to stop coming to decisive conclusions about the worthiness and dedication of other parents/people. We should take more time to look at ourselves and say, "Self, am I doing the best I can by the people I am responsible for?, Am I really trying to take care of my children and prepare a way and life for them?" I suggest we determine our answer from this verse:
Matt. 7:17 and 20 Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. - Thus by their fruit you will recognize them.
